Widgets

A rebuilt widgets screen, backed by Aurora’s own REST endpoints.

Aurora replaces Appearance → Widgets with its own interface for managing the widget areas your active theme registers, including drag-and-drop reordering and moving widgets between areas.

Block-based widget areas (introduced in WordPress 5.8) are supported where the active theme uses them; classic widgets work the same as they always have underneath.
